Hannah Rankin
Professional boxer and Classical musician
Hannah Rankin is a professional boxer and a Classical musician having graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal Academy of Music.
Hannah is the former WBA and IBO Super Welterweight World Champion in boxing and is also proud to have made history for her country in becoming Scotland’s first female World champion.
As well as competing in the professional ranks she also teaches boxing classes and works as an ambassador for Boxwise which is a non-profit social enterprise that helps young people build confidence, improve their health and wellbeing and build foundations for a successful future through the use of boxing.
Alongside her boxing career, Hannah is also a classically trained musician having graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As well as orchestral playing, her wind quintet, The Coriolis Quintet, work with Live Music Now, taking interactive concerts into schools and care homes where they often work with people living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Hannah enjoys the performance and entertainment angle of both of her careers but also greatly enjoys using her experience to work within the community, inspire others and support female empowerment.
